A home workplace should be warm, cozy & inspiring, right? You thrive better which makes you feel better too. And by feeling better, you become more creative as well as productive – words that hit high in today’s society. Warm colours, a large work desk, convenient storage & lots of daylight – that’s the way to go!

We went to Melbourne on a long weekend to celebrate a long relationship that goes into its third decade. And our boys joined us, of course. Where would we be without them. It turned out to become more their weekend actually – shopping weekend so to speak. We strolled behind or in front of them, went in & out of hundreds of shops, spent time outside the changing rooms, discussed all sorts of subjects and so on. Beautiful weather, great city, nice people, comfortable & luxuriously hotel & numerous, numerous cafes.

Time for a bathroom, don’t you think? After a long weekend in Melbourne & a very nice hotel, I got bathrooms on my mind. They are usually small but functional which this one was also. You rarely need bigger bathroom when staying at a hotel but it is the opposite at home. Anyway, I got stuck for this image for the simple but classy decor.

This kitchen is very nice with wood, brick, white & black in combination. Much is happening but yet peaceful due to the mix, the personal style & taste. Pay a visit to this blog, one of my favorites. You’ll find a lot of inspiration.

Modern architecture has its advantages, just like with everything else. I can not say that super modern buildings or houses are among my top favorites. It simply depends on where, in what context & moment. This pearl is located in North Bondi, in Sydney.
