I find white & grey combined, isn’t just nice & neutral but also relaxing & very refreshing. Well, maybe refreshing isn’t really the way to describe it. Harmonius is better. It’s colours that works well together as well as individually. Someone may say that it’s very predictable, even boring perhaps. No no, that is not the case at all. However, it is difficult to discuss the taste because it is such a personal experience. What appeals to me is the different shades, which when combined in a good way, expresses so much with simple means. It can be expressed as pleasant, nice, stylish, masculine, industrial or whatever you might appreciate. That’s certainly something you can acheive with most things…but still! Grey is simply a good base color which is easy to work in conjunction with most other colours.
But, I don’t have in mind to go in that direction today. No, there will be the usual, if I may decide, namely a bit more to the strict, austere, quiet & peaceful … as I see it, in any case. Enjoy 🙂

My house has not yet turned into a home. It’s going to take a while. There’s stuff everywhere, furniture is still in the same place as where they were left by the movers. The boxes are countless. A great deal of them, in different rooms, are still unpacked. One can safely say that right now we do not have control over our lives. Instead of trying to get things done when we had a day off together, vi decided to stroll in the neighbourhood, grab a coffee & do NOTHING at all. I wouldn’t mind a nice long holiday with absolutely no activities at all. It felt like a good decision at that time. Unfortunately, everything looked the same when we got back. Well, well, what’s the hurry…we will get there sooner or later.
There’s no theme today more than that this collection are some cute, simple, quirky or just fun images.

Hej there friends,
I’m going with something red today, just like that, with no specific reason. Not that I’m a bearer of red, but on the other hand, things can change. I went for a stroll during lunch & happened to fall in love in a red thin knitted sweater in soft material. Last time it happened was about a year ago & that love is somewhere in a drawer now. It will surely be different this time 🙂
Everything in moderation is a very common phrase in Sweden. I think this phrase fits into red, because it’s a strong & energizing color … which can dominate depending on where & how it’s used. The taste is of course different, but I for one, prefers red accents, whether it comes to fashion or interior design. It’s very much as shown below, actually. Moreover, I appreciate red with basic colours as white or black. I’m fully aware of how boring & predictable I am, but I’m an ordinary woman, you know! I leave with a warm hand, the extraordinary & exciting to someone else.
Red is a color that must have the correct red tone to appeal to me. Not too yellow so it slopes towards orange, not too blue either, so it becomes pink purple etc. It can look too watery in the expression together with white – it’s nicer whit contrast. Fresher in some way – take a look, what do you think?

Hej friends,
I went back to work recently after a long break. It has been pure pleasure to have time for nothing & everything, to be in charge of my own time – no appointments, schedules or any musts. It’s a very inspiring & relaxing way of living. But nothing lasts for ever & reality catches up sooner or later. On the other hand, I’m very grateful for having had the opportunity to take a long break. It’s unusual to be able to forget all demands & requirements which constantly exist in our everyday life…& do what I want to do. Well, I guess my darling have enjoyed it to the fullest too. A clean house to come home to, laundry taken care of…meals ready…to simply just sit down at the dinner table, with welcoming candlelights, without having to think about things that needs to be done. It’s been a blessing for the whole family.
I very much enjoyed my time at home. Something I wouldn’t have believed if someone had told me that some couple of years ago. I’ve learnt to value my time & each precious moment. I’d like to think that this break has helped me to fine tune certain things that was in need of development. I guess that time will tell.
So dear friends, to celebrate a new stage of life, I’ve done a post about work spaces. I’m afraid that some of you might think that these are out of time & out of place. Rightly perhaps, but I guess that this style is always going to be appealing to a number of people. I might need to follow up with a modern version for all fo you who don’t 🙂
