Simple

A simple thing to do, to work up a little appetite, is to use a round tray & put some different breakfast pieces on that you’re craving & make it a little nice.

Morning

Lately, our mornings have started with fried eggs. We’re trying to experiment with different flavours & side dishes. And picking up tips & inspiration from various food accounts – like this one ⬇️ flavourful Za’atar eggs served up with lemony yogurt & chili oil.

Vegan

It can be difficult to get varied dishes when you are vegan or vegetarian & out at a restaurant, although it has gotten better in recent years. Pizza, hamburgers & salad are often offered on the menu. Here in South Asia it’s not so easy considering that traditionally a lot of meat is consumed.

An inspirational account that I can recommend is: @javligtgott on Instagram.

Breakfast

I love oatmeal for breakfast & it’s both useful & cheap & can rather easy make your porridge varied & exciting.
If you soak the groats before going to bed, you’d save time because soaked porridge doesn’t need to be boiled as hard as “regular” boiled porridge – but be simmered on a lower heat & thus doesn’t get the sticky texture that you might otherwise associate with porridge.

Soaked rye porridge with vanilla bean & almond butter.
Cold steel cut oats with yogurt, raspberries & tahini syrup.
Chocolate porridge with semolina, banana, maple syrup & nut.
