Wood & white is one of my favourites to combine. It’s a lifelong style no matter if is like this, more towards country style with modern touch or very classic etc. Despite white floor & walls, there is a warmth & invitation to sit down & just hang out around the table. The light seems to pour in & allows the whole room vibrant.

I have been shopping tablecloths for our long table, actually two tables in a row. I have not had time to look over it earlier & it actually does a lot for a homely feeling. We gather for dinner together most days of the week. If not dinner, then at least a breakfast joint. Very important for the family & important for us to connect & catch up with the everyday life.
After a big birthday party for my oldest son, UNi & HSC studies for both – well, I have decided to wait a couple of weeks until they have completed those important & stressful events. It looks very messy but that’s life at times.
Meanwhile, here’s some inspiration that I have found, for you to enjoy.

I am a big fan of accessories, whether it’s for the home, clothing and other paraphernalia. This image shows how nice it can become with kitchen accessories. They embellish the daily life such as this kitchen, in this case. Nice accessories combine business with pleasure, pure & simple – where business is the cooking then 🙂

Time for a bathroom, don’t you think? After a long weekend in Melbourne & a very nice hotel, I got bathrooms on my mind. They are usually small but functional which this one was also. You rarely need bigger bathroom when staying at a hotel but it is the opposite at home. Anyway, I got stuck for this image for the simple but classy decor.

It’s the details what makes it. On the other hand, why bother to develop or improve things at all. Sometimes it’s hard to say what makes a pleasant environment & other less so. It’s exciting when there are small things to discover, things that are not visible at once. As a story that begins gently & ends in a cascade of events.
All those little details that makes the day.
