Roofs

I work in the city from time to time, where it’s tight between high rises, skyscrapers & office complex.

I prefer to take the time to stand & look out over the rooftops, see different terraces, pools, cafes from above. But best of all, is the exciting experience of rooftops, close together, with houses in different architectural styles & heights.
They convey a sense of another time, perhaps in another life, that once was.

Orangery

It’s nice to be able to live part of the year with doors & windows opened – with an invisible boundary between outside & inside.

Preferably with upholstered furniture instead of the traditional outdoor furniture.

A courtyard / orangery that becomes a kind of a summer-living room.

The moment before

Christmas Eve, early morning, much has already been prepared with Christmas shopping, food, cleaning, decorations – a quiet moment at the back before breakfast, a cup of coffee & then the Christmas festivities starts.
And I am so grateful that the weather is cool with breezy winds. (Not the usual heat of 40 degree heat).
