It’s nice with environments that are consistently well thought out in every detail. I have a weakness for solutions as the one you see below. I prefer two sofas in a row instead of opposite each other, or two dining table in tandem. It is probably the simplicity of the straight lines that feels attractive. Same with these cabinet modules that are mounted to the wall. It is nicely done with surface for beautiful objects but also clever with light loop under the cabinets. It provides increased feeling of roominess & depth.

White, low, with shelves underneath & a storage surface on top. A perfect piece of furniture that is flexible, portable & a great friend in the kitchen. I have had a number of different models but nowadays when we live in a smaller space, I had to give them away. I’m childishly fond of these furniture carts. Yeah, I have one left, still 🙂

I often return to the material wood. All sorts of materials are naturally beautiful but I have my heart in the birch. Pine, ash, maple, oak – are all nice, by all means. It’s all about making sure that the different species of wood comes to their advantage in different environments. It is good to be careful not to mix without further reflection including colour selection. Since wood varies in different shades, this can create different colours in relation to the light during the day. Just take a look how living wood can look like & how incredibly beautiful it ages.
