Orange

Orange has great warmth when it’s in the right shade. It’s cool together with red, pink & cerise colours. The contrast can be exciting. Orange usually makes me think of carrots, pumpkins & apricots. It is between red & yellow & generally associated with extroverts, fire, activity, danger & the autumn season. It is an important symbolic colour of Buddhism & Hinduism. But today, it’s an orange theme basically because of Halloween.

I have a great liking for sweet tasting foods. Did you know that three in five people confess to having a sweet tooth & to consuming foods they know are not good for them. We have the golden rule at home in Sweden, the word LAGOM “just right, moderately” which helps, believe it or not. Sweet image too!

I seldom find nice pictures with cooked meals – hot dishes, so to speak. It is almost always pictures with entrees, desserts & sweets. Food styling is indeed a common occurrence so it ought not be a problem. This image is nice & looks attractive. The food, the colours, the composition & bowls – are well combined in a simple way.

Nowadays, food is often served in large portions. I think moderation is always the best. As this size of a dish that leaves room on the plate & that looks both tasty as appealing.
