It’s important to take size & shape into account when choosing functions to a room, especially if it’s narrow, to get the most out of the space as well as the furniture. And don’t forget the impact that a large rug has, it benefits the layout & impact of the room.

Umbrella stand

Yes, umbrella stand, how easy are they to find, really.

Not many nice designed that looks good & works well for various umbrellas – in various sizes. They are often in old fashioned style & heavy or bulky – at least the ones I’ve found.

This one fits my taste in both shape & colour. Steady & pleasing!

Dress up the floor

I often find that a room, how excellent it may seem, has something that is missing, without a rug or rugs. It just feels unfinished. Partly it is the warmth it provides to the room, as well as texture, but colour, shape and the function. It is for me an important interior detail.
