Joseph Ducreux (1735-1802), was a French painter celebrated for his distinctive & unconventional self-portraits – defining the formal norms of portraiture in his era. He frequently portrayed himself with exaggerated expressions & playful gestures, highlighting a sense of individuality & humor.
He served as a court painter to King Louis XVI but his relaxed & expressive style has made him a memorable & singular figure in art history. His self-portraits have experienced a surge in popularity in recent years, especially through their widespread use in meme culture.

The princess cake has been around since the late 19th century & it’s a cake made of a cake base, whipped cream & vanilla cream, and covered with marzipan. There’s often also a layer of jam. The marzipan covering is usually green with a thin layer of icing sugar on top & the cake is often decorated with a colored almond paste.
This one is a modernized version of the princess cake with lemon. Looks delicious, right!
