A beautiful clean & well organised island city-state. Great weather all year around, 30-32 degrees & lots of things to do & see. With a multicultural population & recognition of the need to respect cultural identities, Singapore has four official languages; English, Malay, Mandarin & Tamil. English is the lingua franca, meaning a language that’s adopted as a common language between speakers whose native languages are different.
Newly restored villa in Italy, available for rent a couple of months more, into September but then going for sale on the market. Beautiful white villa with big windows surrounded by greenery & close to a blue lap pool.
When you’re after a slowcation with lazy days & moments to look back at & remember. This seems optimal for me.
We’ve been home in Sweden for a short visit after almost two years of isolation & are now traveling a couple of weeks in Germany before we return home again. We’ve made many visits to various museums. Partly for the art, partly for the architecture (many museum buildings are fantastic) but also for the great silence when you slowly walk around looking & taking in the works. It’s a very calm & soothing environment.
