Children, they are so natural, active & curious – but also quite demanding. My boys has grown up & become great guys. Finest in the world of course, as any parent would say about their kids. They are handsome & talented with own opinions & values. I want to believe that they are curious without being limited to what’s possible. And most importantly, that they aren’t judgmental, which is extremely important to us.
I sometimes forget that we are two who “owns” them. And of course, we have them on loan until they are capable of taking care of themselves & move on, independently & confidently through life. It has taken me a long time & considerable thought, before I came across the threshold that they one day will leave home. But whenever that happens, we have many precious memories from their playful time as kids. I hope they will maintain their playfulness as adults too.

We all need some sort of ladder to use at home, either to climb on & reach for things or, as per images below, to use for functional situations or simply to decorate with. Sometimes just to let the ladder just lean against the wall or big furniture. Now, I’m not referring to the traditional ladder only but more to the ones that are an extension of a ladder. To be used similar but with added value, so to speak. All kinds of designs works, of course. Short models, tall ones, the ones with a shelf or shelves, or with a back, so that you can lean things against or with a bag, for whatever you might need to use it for etc.
I have to admit that I actually like the ladder as it is. Just lean it against something & use it for temporary stuff to hang, lay books on or…with a bit of colour that is tailored to style & taste, you get your little (or big) ladder to fit in anywhere you please.

I can imagine that children would feel comfortable in this room. Floor space for games, sloping roof creating nooks, roof window with natural light, built-in bed in the corner with a small private room within a room & soft soothing colours. Nice that the ceiling is in untreated wood. The room has high cosiness factor. Nice place overall for children to live in. (I might have wished for more comfortable seating, large thick rugs & some cushions on the floor).
