Copper

I would exaggerate if I said that copper is one of my favourite material. It’s beautiful of course & I’ve had a some copper over the years. Copper has been one of the material that has appeared virtually everywhere for a long time now. I think by all means that it is stylish but have no need to use it myself.

There is only two that I think are good looking, of all the pictures I found.  The image with concrete & copper – perhaps mostly because of the lighting, which makes the whole picture more exciting. And the last one with the workplace in black & copper lamp.

Appealing walls

What if walls could speak – tell you their story. About colours they have been painted in, patched, scraped, plastered & painted over & over again. Or tell you about those who lived here before to give insight into what life was like, during an epoch. It would be exciting & interesting. But see, that’s not what this post is about today, unfortunately.

I like colour, it’s a big part of my life…professionally, that is. But I’m not the first to raise my hand regarding colorful walls. But still. I have the ability to enjoy a variety of things or events, no matter what I prefer. It’s all about being able to see beauty in most things, right?

If you were to ask me which of these rooms I would consider myself to live in, without changing the wall color – then, the closest in style, would be room number six with light blue wall. Maybe, possibly, even number three. (but I would most certainly go for the black & white one) How about you, which one do you prefer?

Light grey shades

We are just in the phase to renovate our shed in the garden. It’s around 15-17 square meter & has been used for various storage needs. It’s a perfect little house to furnish as a guest house. And so it will be used too – with relatives that will arrive within four weeks & stay for four weeks. It’s just outside the veranda, in the corner of the garden with all the lovely trees & bushes around. It’s been made in country style which fits well with the rest of the house. We will retain the outside in same style so most of the work will be to get the interior nice, comfortable & functional. All walls white, I guess we will choose white floor also. White tiles for the shower area & for the sink too.

It will not be much color except textiles, rugs & accessories. The usual, so to speak. Colour is always nice in many ways but ” colourless” works well too. To visualize that, I chose to do a post with images in grey – shades of light grey.
