Crockery

Crockery of all kinds is available in endless quantities & much can be found at design markets, in specialty stores & online. And of course via Pinterest – here are a few that I’ve liked & saved to my board purely based on their aesthetic appeal.

Antoni Gaudí

Antoni Gaudí, born 25th June 1852, is one of the most beloved architects in the world. After his eight years training as an architect, his first solo commission was designing lamp posts. He designed furniture, church interiors & a pharmacy & houses. The project that dominated Gaudí’s life was the Sagrada Família which started 1883 – not yet completely finished. Gaudí brought delight to the world: colour, playfulness, whimsy & beauty. He’s style was startlingly original.

The Casa Batlló, remodelled by Gaudí in 1904, in his own true style.
1885, completion of a house. Quite unique style that had not been seen before.
Gaudís style was to cover rooftops & façades in decorative, highly colourful tiles, mosaics
& floral shapes — truly transformational.
