It’s nice with fresh flowers. They bring colour to the environment, impacts on the mood, creates cosiness, elegance or other of importance in the moment. It’s great when you can use the mantelpiece to display temporary things. This is a nice look with the big decorated brass mirror & vase to the magnificent colour on those flowers – simple but yet so attractive.

I’m fond of bookshelves & likes when things are organised neatly & with a thought behind. Not only to store the books but to show them lying, standing or with pages opened. It’s nice to use covers & colours to create interest & difference. Also to break it up with other nice stuff, for an aesthetic balance.

I like how the wall is outlined with frames in different sizes, the chair that has got its place in the composition & choice of subject not challenging each other but interact well in the layout. The small picture at the bottom right, goes well with the cabinet doors too..

It doesn’t have to cost much to create a Christmas feel with simple means. Material such as ribbons, twigs & a few Christmas baubles will go a long way.
Time for a bathroom, don’t you think? After a long weekend in Melbourne & a very nice hotel, I got bathrooms on my mind. They are usually small but functional which this one was also. You rarely need bigger bathroom when staying at a hotel but it is the opposite at home. Anyway, I got stuck for this image for the simple but classy decor.
