Darker blue

I’ve had this dark blue colour on my mind for a while. I’ve had a desire for something in dark blue in my wardrobe – a good basic colour that matches most things. We went on a long weekend trip to Singapore a few weeks back & it’s incredible how much you can find in the enormous choice that is available. From the big top brands to small independent retailers. If you plan to travel there give yourself some time to explore, not only the shopping opportunities, but also the huge variety of restaurants, coffee bars & small shopping streets. Anyway, I came home with some nice things, in this particular colour – deep dark blue – classic simple clothing without frills.

I have a weakness for spots like this one. I’s isolated indeed but insanely beautiful – when we adapt to the natural conditions. House & rocks merge into one entity. Rock formations on either side of the little house in stone creates a unified entity. While it provides protection for different weather conditions.

I posted a balcony theme a while ago & you were many who came back about more of this type of images. I thought this one was rather nicely styled. A great small space with brick wall, nice outdoor furniture, plants & stylish textiles. Plus the mosquito net that makes it feel like your own corner, in your own little world.

I think this is a beautiful picture. Just wooden planks that are stacked on top of another, piles upon piles. No major differences of nuance here, indeed. Soot black, a bit restrained & a kind of gloom over the whole thing, in an interesting way.

Daily inspiration, soothing moments

Lazy days off with beautiful weather is a delight. The sun is shining with cool breezes occasionally. Kids are playing & laughing outside on the street & I can hear the neighbour swimming in the pool on the other side of the wall. It is soothing moments like these that are worth gold, nowadays.
