Baking mood

Now I’m not a baking (mom) even though I might wish I had the talent. But like most, I love freshly baked, newly baked, the smell, the heat and all that implies. I grew up with freshly baked cinnamon buns and a glass of milk as a snack. Nowadays, I see it more as a soothing activity with the preparations and the actual baking process itself. Also, I think the scent that spreads through the house, makes all in the household very friendly.

Wellness

We have entered a period that usually occurs one or two times a year in our home. My husband wants to get in shape but prefers to not exercise or work out. Our boys don’t care anymore, they eat healthy most of the time. So I have to support him in his efforts by participating. (at least at home).

Sandwiches

Sandwiches may be a choice you should avoid every lunch hour but it’s simple, hearty, fast & tasty. I prefer a sandwich with healthy bread & fillings instead of lots of butter, cheese & sauces. All of these on today’s post might not be the best choice but it’s images to inspire if you like me you’re a sandwich person.

Christmas feeling

Christmas is approaching & many house & home are all already decorated with both Christmas trees, Christmas lights & all manner of Santa’s, sleighs & other stuff that goes with it.
The streets in some areas have decorated with Christmas lights that boasts of visitors who wants to see these wonders. If I say abundance of lights, you might understand the hint.
It’s first Sunday in advent – so a Christmas theme is a perfect start for the countdown 🙂

Together

Weekend & I happen to be off, which I have looked forward to. Not to be active but to sit back & take it easy, rest & gather energy. Our weekends have always been about time for the family, mainly to socialise & to create a base where we can catch up with chores & cares. We gather around a long breakfast, quick lunch maybe, finger food in the afternoon or an early dinner. No matter what applies for the moment, it’s the simple & lazy, that counts.
