Holiday feel

It’s different things that create a Christmas sense in a home – baking, decorations, colours, cushions & textiles, still life, christmas stars, well, you know. Everything is fine & well, as it is done with love & care. After all, it’s togetherness that’s important, during a public holiday, whether we celebrate Christmas or just want to be with our loved ones.

Cabinets

We have removed some cabinets , there’s no need to keep so much stuff but also because they took up too much space. It doesn’t feel particularly necessary to constantly save things – that still will take up space somewhere anyway. But that’s easier said than done – it’s about furniture that’s been with us for a while, or a long time. You get a special relationship to them. Furniture is not just things, they have an emotional value, as well as dressing the home in a comfortable attire that welcomes every time you walk through the door. In this case – beautiful, nice, old & new cabinet to be inspired by.

Mirrors

Mirror, mirror on the wall – makes a difference in a home, big difference. Big, small, round, black, silver, gold, several hanging on the wall or a large standing on the floor. The choices are many & the effect can be quite exciting. Nice also with an alternative to pictures & frames – or why not a combination of both.

Christmas feeling

Christmas is approaching & many house & home are all already decorated with both Christmas trees, Christmas lights & all manner of Santa’s, sleighs & other stuff that goes with it.
The streets in some areas have decorated with Christmas lights that boasts of visitors who wants to see these wonders. If I say abundance of lights, you might understand the hint.
It’s first Sunday in advent – so a Christmas theme is a perfect start for the countdown 🙂
