Shoe lover

Shoes – the one thing that really complete an outfit. Get it wrong & you feel uncomfortable the rest of that day. Not just comfortable as in comfy but also the total look. It’s the same with the hallway. A hallway without shoes aren’t really a hallway. It doesn’t feel as someone lives there. Finding a combined solution for storage where design & function goes hand in hand…that’s not easy. On the other hand, it’s not always necessary to hide the shoes … many times, they are stylish enough to showcase.  Shoes are like jewelry nowadays, considering material, color, design & so on. Anyhow, I like open storage with the shoes visible. But that requires some orderliness.  The main thing is that it is simple. If I don’t see the shoes, I won’t remember to use them either. I’ve been pleasantly surprised many times when shoes suddenly appears. But maybe it says more about me, unfortunately.

Overall, one can at least say that the shoes are a fun but oh so important detail, which does wonders for the body & soul – with or without storage. I threw a lot of shoes when we started with the move. I should not have done that, of course. But that’s what happens when you want to have order of things, be clever & clean up the mess … to avoid having to deal with it on the new site. In the rush, things can go to fast sometimes. But now it’s too late, it’s done so it is just to enjoy the space. Perhaps it fills up just as quickly again, who knows.

Something in red / 183

Hej there friends,

I’m going with something red today, just like that, with no specific reason. Not that I’m a bearer of red, but on the other hand, things can change. I went for a stroll during lunch & happened to fall in love in a red thin knitted sweater in soft material. Last time it happened was about a year ago & that love is somewhere in a drawer now. It will surely be different this time 🙂

Everything in moderation is a very common phrase in Sweden. I think this phrase fits into red, because it’s a strong & energizing color … which can dominate depending on where & how it’s used. The taste is of course different, but I for one, prefers red accents, whether it comes to fashion or interior design. It’s very much as shown below, actually. Moreover, I appreciate red with basic colours as white or black. I’m fully aware of how boring & predictable I am, but I’m an ordinary woman, you know! I leave with a warm hand, the extraordinary & exciting to someone else.

Red is a color that must have the correct red tone to appeal to me. Not too yellow so it slopes towards orange, not too blue either, so it becomes pink purple etc. It can look too watery in the expression together with white –  it’s nicer whit contrast. Fresher in some way – take a look, what do you think?

Creme / 158

Hej dear friends,

Creme, or if you prefer, beige is as colour that I do return to periodically. I know some find this colour boring & predictable. That’s ok really, it’s the beauty of life with different views, opinions, taste etc. To be open & curious is a way to broaden the horizons & learn a thing or two. Which in many cases is easier said than done since many of us are creatures of habit. This applies to most things in this wonderful but sometimes complicated world.

I think that beige is an excellent color that blends in nicely in almost everything or everywhere. It’s a pleasant colour & combined with white, so very fresh & appealing, whether it’s clothing, architecture, home furnishing or…you name it. Let’s have a look together…
