Daily inspiration, coffee shop furniture

This picture that I found online, I believe is from a new place in Melbourne. What I like with it, is actually the whole environment. It’s mainly the light but also the brick walls that are painted in white. The table with black base & wooden board. Those classic chairs that has been painted in pale pastels & the untreated floor. I also like the built-in wood shelves with the few things that has been stored inside. They are more apparent with the white wall behind, in the background. The pendants, they become like the icing on the cake.

Daily inspiration, sandwich

I had a day off today & met with an old friend for breakfast.

It was nice & relaxing, with a short walk after the breakfast where we shopped a few girlie things, to her adorable daughter. It’s sunny & warm in the sun so we spent a couple of hours on my porch & talked about everything under the sun. I thought this lovely image would suit to “today’s findings”.

The dark surface of the table, the plate of green design & the arrangement of the sandwiches with a wooden stick to hold everything in place. Love it!

Coffee culture

Coffee with something small, a snack, has for most of us, regardless of age, become a well trendy socializing-form, an almost sacred ritual. There’s a coffee shop in every corner nowadays. Still, it wasn’t until late 1600s that coffee had its breakthrough. It was regarded as something expensive & exclusive, where only the “elite” could afford the luxury. We have a swedish expression that’s used daily … to grab a fika, which is a coffee with something small & sweet to. It’s hard to believe that it’s the Swedes today who, together with the Finns, are the ones who’s drinking most coffee in the world. There’s a strong coffee culture in Australia too, surely one the best places where the coffee tastes wonderful no matter where you are.

Wikipedea: Coffee is a brewed beverage with a distinct aroma and flavor, prepared from the roasted seeds of the Coffeaplant. The seeds are found in coffee “cherries”, which grow on trees cultivated in over 70 countries, primarily in equatorial Latin America, Southeast Asia, India and Africa. Green (unroasted) coffee is one of the most traded agricultural commodities in the world. Coffee is slightly acidic (pH 5.0–5.1) and can have a stimulating effect on humans because of its caffeine content. It is one of the most consumed drinks in the world.
