Jacaranda season

It’s a flowering season in Sydney now, but outside of the season, jacaranda trees tend to lose their leaves (or at least many of them) & can look quite bare. The trees are deciduous in their growth habit, losing their leaves for part of the year. In Sydney in particular, they often turn yellow in winter & lose their leaves in late winter/early spring.

Jacaranda trees

So nice to once again experience jacaranda blooming. There are so many nice locations where ones can see the most beautiful jacarandas in Sydney – but these blooming trees on our own street is good enough this time around.

Stockholm | Sweden

In Kungsträdgården in stockholm, the cherry trees were first planted in the 1950s as a gift from the Japanese government to the city of Stockholm. It’s a folk festival every year when the cherry trees burst out & for a few short, intense days at the turn of April – May the crowds are large & there’s pure joy in the air.

Greenery

If nothing else, greenery – trees, shrubs & flowers – are enough to raise the energy level. Now more than ever greenery, nature & fresh air means everything in the world. Isolation due to the corona virus makes you crave for fresh air & open spaces / landscapes.
