I’m into white right now, not unusual, and it’s cabinets, preferably with some sort of door or hatch with glass. It’s not that I need it, or are looking to buy. Just as inspiration for a friend who’s going to refurbish & has this piece in mind.

Windows

I have a certain fascination with building features, one of which is windows. Doors, roofs, balconies, terraces, fences & other similar is exciting. New buildings with modern architecture has exciting solutions. As the first two pictures below. And older buildings, well they usually have windows that’s adorable.

Roses

Roses & floral can often get very cute or too decorated. I found that single coloured environments is best suited as a base if you want to decorate with patterns. When concentrating in a few places, instead of the whole room, you get a stronger impact & it feels less “busy” – but then again, it’s always about preference…

Orange

Orange has great warmth when it’s in the right shade. It’s cool together with red, pink & cerise colours. The contrast can be exciting. Orange usually makes me think of carrots, pumpkins & apricots. It is between red & yellow & generally associated with extroverts, fire, activity, danger & the autumn season. It is an important symbolic colour of Buddhism & Hinduism. But today, it’s an orange theme basically because of Halloween.

Wall light

Wall lights, with one thing in common – super stylish! Brass, copper, black, white, red – there’s a place for everyone depending on the function you seek. We are in need of wall lights in almost every room but lack of time & energy, makes it challenging to get things done right now. And with spring & summer ahead, I’m guessing that not much much will happen in this area.
