Every time we move, it takes longer & longer to put up curtains in all rooms. Kind of like it’s no use, we will be moving again soon anyway. We have at least recently got new curtains in the kitchen area & the bedroom. They are thin so they let light through & are hanging on a short rail on each side of the window. Not so much to dampen any noise or to eliminate the light to pour in, but for the thin & fragile textile feeling that only fabrics can evoke.

A nice room that has a lot of fine details. Wall panels in light grey, sloping roof, dark-stained beams & suitable style on bed linen. Rag rugs has a tendency to always create atmosphere. It might be a space in the attic which has been renovated. Either way, it’s very nice.

Christmas is one of the seasons where you can exaggerate without it becoming too much. I don’t know why, it’s just the way it is. You might not agree with me since it has to do with taste & preference, but ok, that’s my general opinion. As this image for example. Wall paper, bedding, carpet – various sizes of plaid as well as plenty of patterns, mixed in an abundance – it is over the top but it works anyway. Just because it is Christmas!

A combination of the past but in the present day – could that be a proper description of this styling, maybe. With old-fashioned wallpaper, the worn wooden floor, antique headboard, bed textiles & a patterned carpet, well then you get this expression. Really nice!

This is nice & looks like it’s quite easy to do. It’s a simple & unusual solution with the hanging bedside table. Appealing too with dark wall to white bed linen together with wood & earthy natural colours. It’s nice & soft contrasts. I’m not sure how shaky it can get, especially with small children or pets. But nice anyway!
