I seem to have a penchant for kitchens right, or rather, have had it quite a while now. The kitchen is the heart of the home after all. I like this interior with concrete floor & the white base. It’s often very neat with bare details like the metal frame, which creates a border of the kitchen space. It becomes an airier impression as well, without a lot of top cabinets – simple with a shelf to gathers the everyday things that’s often in use.
The black colour on the cabinet doors is repeated on the chairs & ties together both spaces. I would have used a rug to soften up the space, but the tablecloth takes care of that instead. A really nice space!

Styling is a great way to put together items without having to think of functionality. I at least would like to see rooms or decor which appear to work in reality. Such as, not having a lamp that hangs too low, so you bump your head every time you are getting up from your sofa. Styling is totally different – you still have all usual rules with composition, depth, lines, etc. But functions have no meaning & your imagination is the limit, in that sense. It does not have to work in reality. It’s more about inspiration.
