Kiruna is the northernmost city in Sweden, situated in the province of Lapland. It’s a historic mining town undergoing a transformation due to the deep mining close by. It offers stunning views of the Northern Lights & an experience of the Midnight Sun. It also boasts Kebnekaise, Sweden’s highest mountain. Always loved this place.
The Danish artist Thomas Dambo is known for his work with recycled wood & discarded materials. Especially his works with towering troll sculptures in public spaces all over the world, using mythological inspiration & constructs large-scale installations, often hidden in forests.
Saw this guy on my way through the MRT station. Busking with the help of a hologram is a nice trick to grab the audience.
Visiting family over the holidays & is back after an afternoon walk – guided home in the darkness by the lights from the building.
