Kunming Lake which was constructed in the Yuan Dynasty, excavated 1271-1368, to provide water for Beijing – later expanded during under Emperor Qianlong. It’s an artificial lake but inspired by nature.

A wonderful cottage right by the water & with the forest behind – and a site-built sauna by the pier. With large windows that let in light & direct the gaze towards the horizon. Sounds like a dream.
