Fika

Fika is a Swedish social institution that involves interpersonal interaction & a relaxing break in combination with the consumption of coffee or another drink & coffee bread, sandwich or other edibles.

The Swedish fika tradition stretches back several hundred years, but it was only in 1910 that the now world-famous word fika began to be used. This tip with buns & pastries in mini format is perfect for fika this summer.

Kanelbulle

Kanelbulle = cinnamon bun. The most Swedish thing you can be invited to, with a cup of coffee. The cinnamon bun even has its own day which falls on October 4 & is an annual theme day in Sweden.

Mont-blanc

A nice cup of coffee & something sweet with it, is called FIKA in Swedish.

A very strong culture & tradition about hanging out / socialise over a coffee.

Mont-blanc-cassis with chestnut would be perfect – although perhaps a bit too much for a fika.
