A sauna cabin in the Helsinki archipelago. The building follows the coastline with a terrace area that protects from the strong sea wind. The exterior cladding is made of larch that turns beautifully grey over time & blends perfectly into the cliff, so the buildings do not stand out from the shore when seen from the sea.
An evening walk (still bright at 7.15pm) at Fort Canning Park which has a wonderful view of central Singapore but also divine vegetation.
Kiruna is the northernmost city in Sweden, situated in the province of Lapland. It’s a historic mining town undergoing a transformation due to the deep mining close by. It offers stunning views of the Northern Lights & an experience of the Midnight Sun. It also boasts Kebnekaise, Sweden’s highest mountain. Always loved this place.
The Danish artist Thomas Dambo is known for his work with recycled wood & discarded materials. Especially his works with towering troll sculptures in public spaces all over the world, using mythological inspiration & constructs large-scale installations, often hidden in forests.
