The other day I was thinking that it’s not often that soup is served. But it struck me that it’s not quite true. Here it is very common with pumpkin soup. I’m not particularly fond of the sweet pumpkin flavour or the soft texture. But anyway, soup is an excellent meal if it is a little wholesome but also mellow & robust. It’s perfect with a slice of coarse brown bread. Especially in chilly weather, like tonight.
