Mix & match

I like homes that have a personalised decor with a mix of new things, old, inherited & other. It’s a fine balance to furnish in an appealing way. It could easily be somewhat messy because I believe that it requires certain sense & talent. It may be less stuff as well as a variety – of furniture, paintings, books, lamps, textiles, etc. Regardless, it looks mighty inviting & often with a lovely homely feel. I think many of the images in today’s post describes this in a good way. Inspiring & personalised interiors through the mix & match that’s been used.

Daily inspiration, furniture

Old furniture looks like new, if they are given life in a new environment. At least, to provide the opportunity to shine, in an otherwise uncluttered environment. A fine furniture set with sofa & armchairs in a lovely blue “jeans colour” to a white floor & white walls – with much natural light as well as various fine attributes for increased comfort.

Daily inspiration, nice & airy

I thought that the floor colour in this room were unusual, not something you see everyday. It’s a nice & airy room with a mix of new & old that makes it inviting. The old school chairs & the chubby cabinet combined with a straight, modern white table & ceiling light does the job. It is a place where you can hang out and focus on your company instead of being distracted, which is beneficial at times.
