Architectural history

This building, Holyrood, with its dramatic stone frontage, comes from the former City Bank. After a1890 fire, the façade|stone work survived & was purchased, then dismantled & transported stone by stone to where it is today. Buildings like Holyrood carries memories & historical stories forward, esp when a story is literally built into the stone (in this case, a façade repurposed after the City Bank fire).

(This is from a suburb in Sydney NSW).
