Textiles

Textiles are such a great way to spice up furniture or a room. It’s easy to create a homely feeling as well as atmosphere through choice of colour, patterns, size & quantity – for nice comfort. Not to mention how affordable it is & how easy it is to create changes in seasonally without hassle. Textiles make a home, actually.

Simple separation

There are many clever solutions to room dividers. Whether you build them, custom made, or perhaps created via furniture placement or by removable wall screens. It all depends on the layout of the room & the architectural features. The difficult thing is to decide what you want & need, what material to use & whether it is temporary or long term. I am talking about simple separation of different surfaces depending of need & function.

Box shaped houses

I happen to like simple square box-shaped houses & buildings. I like the simple shape that showcases exactly what you see without fuss. Angles & crannies are not my melody even if I do appreciate it because of its intermittency & charm…when it’s old, used & lived in. But, it’s like it is with preferences. And still, with a straight shape, it can look so different & express so much, that it’s hard to believe. Anyway, I thought you might like a post about nicely box shaped houses.

Daily inspiration, less is more

Less is more is an old expression but timeless in itself. We could all have a need of reviewing our belongings & think about what we really need. I am not the one to give advice or tell people what to or not. It is just an appealing thought to use what we truly need – which is a challenge in this era of commercialism.
