Storage – with simplicity, stylish & functional solutions, it’s no easy task to achieve. It’s not always that cheap either. Using cabinets with doors combined with open storage is a good solution. Closed storage for things that you don’t want to be seen & highlight your everyday objects – in good order. They should be easy to reach & easy to use. Whether it’s for the kitchen or for other rooms. It should be easy for you to live your everyday life.

An alternative is to maximize with shelves either on consoles or screwed directly into the wall. It’s super stylish & super easy. Keep it together in one place & not all over the place. Letting things lie visible creates a homely feel depending on how you make it or how well you do it. Or else, the impression might be messy instead of interesting or inspiring. The amount of variations & solutions is endless … use your creativity & adapt after your needs. I am right now cleaning up & storing things way but also storing things visible. Getting there – slowly :)

Hej there friends,

There’s so much buzz around in my daily life at work which indeed is both fun & quickening. However, I have great need for silence with as little noise as possible, once I’m home. At least from time to time. I guess it’s a human need because of our busy lives, being constantly connected as well as busy with different stuff. Even holidays are filled with actions & activities so once we’re back, we’re so tired so we have to have time off, again. I don’t know about you but it’s certainly like that in my circle of friends.

Precious, precious time, some of the few things left in life, that we can’t buy. And that we don’t seem to handle too well. We want time but can’t really relax once we get it. So if you are in that moment – take some time to yourself. Relax, turn off the phone, read a book, listen to the silence, allow your thoughts flow freely. Just do something you like. You don’t need a reason! Do it because you like it, because you want to, because it makes you happy. Here are some peaceful images with only what is regarded as necessary.

Green sweetness / 177

Hej friends,

It feels like summer today. It’s overall very nice weather but some days are more special then others, for some reasons. I guess it’s in the air – the light, the smell & how that makes you feel inside. Just one of those days, you know. I’m not a person with green thumbs but as always, it’s about the beauty in things. There’s few things that can make a home a happy place, such as a fresh bunch of flowers. The combination of flowers, colours & the smell makes a hugh difference. I’m not that overly fond of big & overwhelming bouquets. I leave that to others. I’m more for the simplicity. Not particularly romantic or so – just simple, fresh, not too much of a mix of flowers or complicated elements. Maybe it gets clearer once you’ve taken a look at these flowers below – green sweetness, in all their simplicity, right?

Hello, it’s morning around 09.45 & I have just had breakfast after a short walk around the sea. My first day out after a horrible flu. I passed loads of people on my walk, who are keen to socialise which is very nice really. Also a lot of boats that are anchored at the jetties & each one has some kind of emblems, banners & flags. It’s almost like a must to have these, it makes things more festive & perhaps more important, I don’t know. I like the simplicity of it & how easy it is to create interest & attention. I use striped scarves, stylish black & white bracelets, striped t-shirts almost everyday. It’s so basic & simple to wear. Same with textiles at home, curtains, cushions, throws, candles – not everywhere & not always, it depends on the mood. Well, I am in any case very fond of stripes & like the shape & expression that can be created. Let’s take a look!
