Wall paper – well, I was in a wonderful little store with textiles & wallpaper when I was doing some of the Christmas shopping the other day. It wasn’t the range as much as the atmosphere & appearance in the shop – the smell, the space & the neatly folded piles. And the small the test pieces of wallpaper samples, where you hardly could make out patterns or even imagine how it would look like on the wall.

It’s a lot that is happening within that area now. With advanced technology, you can get whatever you would like on your walls, nowadays.

Enlarged photos of family, friends, idols, holiday memories or whatever. On the other hand, there are a great deal of new design on the market, which really evokes possessiveness. Great variety of beautiful motifs, graphic design, landscapes or skyline … it’s your choice!  Wall paper is a good way to “dress” the room in pattern or color that provides a personal touch, express your personality & provide cosiness. It’s a great benefit today, that  they are easy to put up & even take down to move to another wall … within certain collections & trade marks.

I can’t claim that I am a big fan of wallpaper even though I like the thought & often becomes inspired. It is such a difficult choice. How do I know if I will like the colour & pattern, once I have made my choice. That I will not get bored. I’m so used with white walls & have had it white – forever! You could say that it’s about time then, AND perhaps it is. But until I’ve made up my mind, it will do with nice & inspiring images.

Stripped needs / 178

Hej there friends,

There’s so much buzz around in my daily life at work which indeed is both fun & quickening. However, I have great need for silence with as little noise as possible, once I’m home. At least from time to time. I guess it’s a human need because of our busy lives, being constantly connected as well as busy with different stuff. Even holidays are filled with actions & activities so once we’re back, we’re so tired so we have to have time off, again. I don’t know about you but it’s certainly like that in my circle of friends.

Precious, precious time, some of the few things left in life, that we can’t buy. And that we don’t seem to handle too well. We want time but can’t really relax once we get it. So if you are in that moment – take some time to yourself. Relax, turn off the phone, read a book, listen to the silence, allow your thoughts flow freely. Just do something you like. You don’t need a reason! Do it because you like it, because you want to, because it makes you happy. Here are some peaceful images with only what is regarded as necessary.

Green sweetness / 177

Hej friends,

It feels like summer today. It’s overall very nice weather but some days are more special then others, for some reasons. I guess it’s in the air – the light, the smell & how that makes you feel inside. Just one of those days, you know. I’m not a person with green thumbs but as always, it’s about the beauty in things. There’s few things that can make a home a happy place, such as a fresh bunch of flowers. The combination of flowers, colours & the smell makes a hugh difference. I’m not that overly fond of big & overwhelming bouquets. I leave that to others. I’m more for the simplicity. Not particularly romantic or so – just simple, fresh, not too much of a mix of flowers or complicated elements. Maybe it gets clearer once you’ve taken a look at these flowers below – green sweetness, in all their simplicity, right?

Hej friends,

It’s been a while since I checked out into clothing. I like fashion but are not particularly interested in keeping up with the various trends that comes & goes, at least for my own part. I’m more interested of the general appearance of design & how it may affect other relevant fields. It’s exciting with the creativity that exists. I’ve scrolled through some websites, online shopping, blogs & magazines – just for fun. It’s about the the same stuff all over with minor variations. The attributes that beautifies us can be simple, extreme, expensive, second hand but no matter what – be sure to select the one you love. Wearing those, is when you are at your finest. I haven’t bothered about fashion or trends in this post. I’ve just gone by things that caught my eye.

Crystal clear / 74

Hej there friends,

A vase in clear glass became immensely popular even though it were so simple in its’s expression. I was invited to a get-together to a friends place & brought the vase with just one green leaf, as a gift. It’s strange sometimes but it’s the simple things that are the difficult. We try too often to invent the wheel instead of looking at what’s already available. Sometimes it’s there, before our very eyes but we are too busy to pay attention. We talked about this amongst other things & discovered how much it is we take for granted..& how much we don’t even note simply because it’s there. It’s both sad & amusing at the same time. Imagine, just as an example, all the people who’s overlooked in their workplace simply because they’ve always been there. Or old friends who are divorced & we continue to spend time with only one of them. Give them a thought, call or email. A catch up with one or two coffee is just nice & thoughtful. It’s crystal clear for me:)
