Worn beauty / 156

Hej friends,

I am very much into vintage right now. I guess I’m influenced by all the markets I’ve been visiting with friends & family. I like the atmosphere, the feeling of excitement that creates, all individuals visiting or selling, the smell, the music, the diversity of supply, the sense of the bargain in the air, well, you know…it’s fascinating. I am quite smitten by all the stuff that have their own story, that have been someone’s beloved item, which will now be sold to & go on to new adventures. It’s also exciting that someone else can see the beauty in things that others has got tired of. It’s like a public festival & who on earth would say no to such an exciting experience. Well, I guess there are some since we all are different with different needs, expectations & interests. Fair enough. Let’s just rejoice over diversity & everyones freedom to choose. So, if you are interested in worn beauty, please scroll further…

Mixed compote / 91

Hej friends,

I’ve been round & about with my in-laws & sister in law to show them some favourite spots. There’s loads & loads of great places to visit. I’ve put together some pictures to show some in & around my neighbourhood. There’s plenty to see, marvel at, be inspired of, observe, learn & just enjoy. It’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to discover different things which makes me think & reflect. It need not be anything special as long as it appeals my mind in some way…ugly, beautiful, charming, old, new, worn…a mixed compote, simply.

A patisserie is necessary to have near by & this one is particularly nice,

Charming street cafe with mixed furniture,

A little fun parking spot, I thought a lot about how the driver got out,

A long narrow shop with withe walls & a lot of nice things everywhere but very neat & tidy,

Great wallpaper on a whole wall opposite the fitting rooms in a jeans shop,

Great scandinavian shop,

Coffee break in a nice place – with a colourful & interesting posters on a whole wall,

Beautiful tiles on a wall in a coffee shop, see below behind all sweets,

Difficult to choose between all the goodies,

Posterwall in a shopping centre with old & new info, I’m fond of posters that is thrown up the on a wall just like that,

Night owl / 57

Hej friends,

I have to start reading the book to the next book club meeting (One hundred years of solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez)  Hey, between you & me, I would ideally like to lie by the pool & browse through my stack of magazines, who has been on my list for a while. But it’s great to be able to choose between two good things. I should have the time for both, really. I quit my job recently to be off for a year. I believe that the vast majority have a need to pause at times & breathe out in order to ponder were their lives is heading. Are we really concentrating on essential things or have we ended up in a bunch of must’s. But still, my days pass by at a furious pace despite the fact that I am free. I am careful of having my daily routines to avoid being a night owl – so there you go then; today’s theme. My question is, where does all these owls come from…I do see them everywhere online.
