Quiet peaceful environments, thoughts that are given space & time, more space & less stuff, quality before quantity. Heard that before? Now more than ever, we are swamped by volumes, over & mass production. I can not honestly say for what purpose or benefit. I’m not the right person to judge it fairly. But it makes you think of your own actions, at least. Whether we need all this stuff or not – I’ll leave it to others to ponder over. However, it’s nice with well-chosen objects – when they have a personal value – in environments that makes things more visible. Where light & shadow can play their melody by hours of the day.
Lines, curves & shapes come to life. You see new things constantly, in the same room, depending on atmosphere & mood. Windows, doors, pillars, walls & floors, becomes important. The architecture of the room suddenly appears. It is soothing & peaceful. But mind you, not always. It depends on what you feel for in the moment. I like those decorative stuff that creates a home, things that matter & that have been around for a while. It’s important to be enabled to appreciate simple & pure expression from time to time. You know, to be given the opportunity. In a world that normally or usually are busy with lots of things all the time, at the same time. With less things the more opportunities that allows you to think new thoughts…or just breath & relax. So, what do you think, is less more?
