Heart-shape / 165

Hej dear friends,

Hearts, they are always beautiful in my eyes, you know the hearts that symbolize so much but look so simple. I like them in most colors, but preferably in red, actually. We got a nice present a while ago, a puzzle in a heart-shape, which was a postcard with a greeting written on the back. We had to piece together all small parts before we could read the text … fun idea & a very sweet gift. I often return to the simple form and use the heart as a symbol when I sign messages, out of habit. There’s something in the shape that makes me happy, a childlike feeling perhaps, yet so warming & pleasant. So dear friends, here’s a heart-filled post today from me to you.

BIG thanks to all of you that so often gets in touch with greetings, comments & encouraging words. In addition, to be as friendly when we’ve never met each other. That’s really cool – indeed heartwarming:)

Coffee lover / 90

Hej friends,

I blogged about tea a while ago although I’m a true coffee lover. Coffee came late into my life, funnily enough. I’ve been drinking tea all my life, thanks to my dear mother. The coffee scent is wonderfully comfortable & homely & one of the best I know. (Is it possible that an scent can be perceived as homely – well, I think so). There is certainly some good psychological reason for the reaction, who knows. I do really become calm & pleased…& actually, believe it or not, happy. The coffee culture has brought with it a lifestyle that’s loved all over the world, nothing new maybe but different. Coffee shops in every corner, fresh beans to grind at home, different kinds of beans with various flavours depending on country & plantations, expensive efficient monster machines, or smaller, but equally effective for home use, skimmed milk, chocolate powder on top, take-aways of hot delicious coffee - so much has changed in recent years but still, it’s the same lovely smell. Coffee is a pleasant company with or without friends, so to speak. I think most people experience the scent as postive whether they are coffee lovers or not.

I can hear your heart beat / 70

Hej friends,

Hearts – for me the strongest symbol for love. I feel happy, healthy & loved. That’s a blessing really, something to be extremely grateful for with my family around me. I met a lovely person a while ago, a complete stranger, who just happened to come in my way. Always as if  someone wanted us to meet because it felt like I have known here for ever. A wonderful feeling when that occurs. She came for a short visit today & the contact was immediate & straightforward. So my post today is about love .

I love hearts & have a habit to use them as a signature, when I write messages. Some use smiling faces, others use hug with opened arms & so on. I like the shape of the heart plus the fact that it’s something that beats inside us & that we all have a heart with all that that implies. It’s up to each one of us to use our heart in the way we think is best or if we chose to make it hard – both against our selves or against others. For fear or for other reasons. This is post is for my new friend, let’s hope it last for ever. To you – a big heart:)

Casablanca / 51

Hej friends,

Casablanca – what kind of head line is that? Well, there’s an explanation. We have been watching Star wars in blue ray over a few weeks now. I’ve seen these films a dozen times but don’t ever get tired of the story. I like this genre or sagas…whatever they’re called. It’s the same with Harry Potter & Lord of the rings. I’m not overly found of romantic movies but my husband is, so it’s more then enough for both of us. I don’t know – I find these movies incredibly boring & never ending. But mind you, that’s just on movie, in real life, my believe is that  romance is of real importance. It’s exciting, beautiful & necessary.

  

So back to the head line: The American Film Institute chose Casablanca as it’s top U.S. screen romance movie in a list recently. The film institute began issuing annual lists on different movie themes in 1998. The love story list was chosen by about 1,800 directors, actors, studio executives, critics & others in Hollywood, who voted from a field of 400 nominated films. (Just as pure general information for you) Casablanca is about romance & that’s todays post.

My precious / 9

Hej friends,

My precious are three important guys (one of them my dear husband). My family are the biggest part in my life & of course, most important. Nothing else matters in comparison. Karl Anton is my oldest, he is studying dramatic art at UNI. Axel is in high school, he lives for his music. Two very different individuals who are in constant development. They are experiencing continuous learning, gaining insight & experience, which in time will be crafting their personalities. The time has passed quickly, as always, when you are caught up in the everyday living. That’s why it’s so important to be present, to be in the moment. Difficult but nevertheless important.

My little ones guys have grown into young men & has become safe & independent. They’ve changed a great deal just in the past few years. Friends, interests & ideas came & went. Thoughts & opinions have changed. Clothing, fashion & hair styles is nothing they want to be reminded about (who ever would want that). Anyway, I love them & adore them, as any other parents does of course. I’m glad they have grown up to the wise & thoughtful individuals they are. There’s loads of things that happens during the teenage years & a lot that can go wrong. The entire period is a never ending learning, both for them & us as parents. Interesting indeed! Yet I feel ashamed, saying that I occasionally wish I could stop time. On the other hand it probably can’t go fast enough, when you are at that age.
