Greenery

Greenery – an endless source of joy. My feeling for green is greater than my ability, unfortunately. I like cut fresh flowers, flowering plants, etc. Not that I regularly fill my home but more as an eye-catcher when it suits. It inspires a sense of luxury, although it’s a simple & straightforward things to enjoy in the everyday life. Now, one need not be limited to flowers at home. Greenery is everywhere around us, whether it’s gardens, parks or forests. Moreover there is a huge range of stylish garden stuff & accessories, that attracts whether you’re interested or not. I mean, if you wish to create a feeling without having to work in the soil such as digging, moving around, cutting & pruning – well then different pots, tools, wooden boxes, a wheelbarrow & other fitting items can do the trick.

It’s good to make use of the nice weather & take the opportunity or time to actually see all the nice things around. If nothing else, it can inspire to a visit to the garden store, which could brighten the day. Me – I’m just inspired by the wonderful weather, my very little green garden on the back & the cup of coffe in the morning, before it gets too hot. Greenery, that’s my thing right now :)

Green inside / 206

I admire those who have green thumbs. Those who can all plant names, the amount of heat, cold or water different flowers can withstand, how they should be handled, when to prune, to put seeds etc. Above all, I’m inspired by their passion for plants & the empathy they radiate. It’s lovely! I can’t summon up that energy even though I appreciate flowers, whether it be out in the lush landscape or home on the kitchen table. It’s amazing what a difference fresh flowers do for the soul & ones mood. It immediately becomes something of a festive feeling. It’s probably just as much scent & colors that influence. Now, I prefer simple bouquets, green potted plants or succulents. Nothing too overly big or colorful, so to speak. It doesn’t matter what you prefer as long as it pleases your heart & soul.

Rose garden / 174

Hej friends,

Today, I devote the blog to a new acquaintance who loves patterns. Not just any pattern, but patterns of roses, preferably small-scale ones, I believe. I happened to see her Iphone case, which was studded with small roses in red  & pink. We started talking about roses of all kinds that’s been her passion since childhood. I’m moderately interested & prefer to combine roses with stripes, to make it less romantic or rather, less cute. I like those patterns because I seem to fall for something regarding these roses, especially on porcelain, for some reason…as long as it doesn’t get too pretty. It’s something with roses that attract, at least in some situations & environments. Sometimes there is too much & sometimes it’s just perfect. Most things become nice as long as you add into your personal taste & creates the feeling you are looking for, that makes you happy. It’s as easy as it sounds, really.

You will notice that I have selected photos that are not very colourful. It becomes too much sometimes & right now it felt just right with these images.

Sweet to a point / 153

Hej dear friends,

I had in mind to blog about autumn after my nice breakfast in the sun with all the beautiful colours around me…it almost looks like the trees are burning…with the diversity of brown-red, yellow & the burned tones, especially when rays of the sun gleams through. But when I finished it became more rosy than I had imagined, for some reason. Never mind, it works anyway. It might sound odd to you but I’m not particularly fond of flowers or plants for that matter. I appreciate the beauty but have no interest in engaging in it. At most, it’s enough to arrange fresh flowers in a vase. We don’t even have pot plants at home, believe it or not. However, the garden is flowing over by plants, seedlings, shrubs & trees, thanks to our landlord which we rent the house of. There’s even a small vegetable garden. Nice indeed:)

Flowers are not the biggest part of my field of interest, as I said, but enjoyable when it’s picked together in an appealing manner, whether it be in interiors or as bouquets, by all means. I made a bargain, a while back on the flea market, a floral one. A padded quilt that was striped on one side & with small-patterned roses on the other side. Really nice! But when it’s in use, it’s the striped side that’s visible… with the roses on the back which can only be sensed.
