Hej friends, the summer season is nearly over back home in Sweden & the lovely autumn is on the way. With all bright colours & the wonderful smell of the soil. Here in Sydney, it’s spring season & will soon bear off to summer. I am in a holiday mood & even though we are on the way to Cairns for a weeks vacation soon, it’s still exciting to check out places, destinations, hotel – the world is like a treasure box, or chocolate box if you prefer that instead.. I like small personal hotels while my guys are more fond of the big ones, with everything included. Furthermore, they have to have (must) sun beds with white thick mattresses & a big pool. That’s a bit boring really, isn’t it, at least very predictable. Different hotels with varying architecture, small or big, in the city or outside, family owned or a big complex, surroundings, people, food, atmosphere – that’s what makes it exciting. I think that I sometimes like the journey more, going to the airport, check in, wander around, pick out a book & some magazines, watch people, complain that it’s too slow & to long queues – well you get the picture. If i had to chose, I would go to a big busy city, that’s what I prefer really…even if it’s nice to have a relaxing holiday too, from time to time. A few days left & then it’s Cairns…
