Hej friends,

I’m currently sitting outside, in my backyard, drinking my coffee, turning my face towards the sun blogging & pondering. I suddenly felt that life is actually completely wonderful. It’s just one of those days in which everything feels great without any specific reason. One of those days when one should take the opportunity & rejoice over the small things, when you feel so fortunate that you want to share it with the rest of the whole wide world, when you suddenly feel that life does not have to be perfect to be really good. And since life is unpredictable it’s important to just stop & really enjoy the moment. That’s what I’m doing right now:) AND wondering over an appropriate birthday present for my darling, which we will celebrate tomorrow.

I do believe that it would sit well with some colour now, although I’m a lover of black, white & simple base colors. After all, colours stands for happiness & joy, right?

Out there / 109

Hej friends,

We recently made a day trip to the Blue Mountains with family & friends. It is infinitely beautiful with endless forest as far as the eye can see. It is green in many different shades & then goes on to blue in various shades far beyond the horizon. It’s incredibly beautiful & breathtaking of course, as always when nature’s colors may decide. It’s really beautiful out there, yes, everywhere, if you just want to see it…taking the time for it, really. I love our backyard for instance, even though it’s nothing special really. It is all the green that surrounds the front, terrace & pool. All of these plants, bushes, trees of all kinds of shades. It is’s like sitting somewhere in the woods out of touch with reality … although neighbors, cars, highway is just around the corner. The vegetation is so green, the water is turquoise, the sky is bright blue & so on. My darling says that it have always been present, I have just been too busy with work, way too long & not had time to see everything amazing … that we take for granted. I guess he is right, but it’s never too late, thank god:)

Pouf up your life / 85

Hej friends,

Poufs, I think that’s the word for them in English, are very good to add to various functions in a room. They are always so extremely useful & handy. It’s simple to change covers or just by putting a blanket over. I have four of them & they are used for lots of various things. It’s a they flexible piece of furniture – feet support, additional seatings, side tables, temporary coffee tables & extra space for books & magazines. I have one in the corner with folded blankets - just because it’s so stylish, but also to keep them handy when it’s chilly. I’ve changed the legs from wood to metal instead. Much better looking now. I like poufs because they are decorative & so easy to change with textiles. The fact is that they do bring life to a room. Just like that – pouf!

Hej friends,

I’ve got lots of nice comments from you wonderful readers. You’re spoiling me with your amazing, nice, sweet & encouraging comments. I’m happy & grateful that so many of you think that the blog suits your needs. It gives me reason & meaning to continue to blog. I’m doing it because it’s fun of course, but it’s even more fun when it’s appreciated – Many thanks!

Today it will be a theme about dots. I got four mugs from my son Karl Anton, my oldest beauty. Inspired by these mugs with white dots. Two in black & white & two in red & white, very nice one’s. It’s obvious that he likes them because he’s the one that uses them most & why not, they are very stylish. I think that dots is pretty nice, on textiles, on glass & porcelain, bedding. Dots combined with stripes looks fantastic together. Small & big dots with narrow & white stripes, in red, white, black, yellow, green – it’s so neat. They often appear for the summer on clothing & toys…& summer articles overall. I often find them on chair cushions, umbrellas, towels, plastic plates & mugs. I saw a young girl yesterday in the escalator on one of the many shopping centres in Sydney. She wore a black/white striped skirt & black/white polka dot blouse. It looked really great on her & she stood out in the crowd. So, here’s some images with dots, for everyone who’s interested:)

Hej friends,

You know how it is sometimes, you’re browsing through magazines or happen to pass through places & your eye get stuck on something & thereafter you’ll see it everywhere. That’s where I am at right now. I’m seeing pennants everywhere, for no reasons. I’m not particularly fond of them really, but anyway, there they are…in all shapes & colours you can imagine. It seems quiet natural in certain places but right now they are EVERYWHERE. Has that influenced me? Yep, it has – I’ve bought two lengths that can be hanged vertically or diagonally. With one letter on each, saying: ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE, LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED. Just have to find the right place to hang them:)
