I came to think about small storage after the last post about wardrobes. There’s so much nice & stylish design that actually amplifies cosiness, creates structure for all small stuff & also gives a personal touch to the home. It’s easy to find something suitable because there’s a huge variety on the market. It’s a bit fun, that so much of the older style is in vogue…currently mentioned as retro. The new word for old, really, sounds more chic & up to date.

There’s cases & boxes of all kinds. Round, rectangular, high, low, leather or upholstered in fabric & so on. A lot of it that you can make yourself, only if you took or had the time, of course. I do like the small storage solutions. Maybe because it looks so much nicer in the open shelves, combined with other things. The variety is appealing too. Hej friends,

Home made or not but a clever thing to use for endless things – those wooden crates. Honestly, there’s so many nice & functional things that they can be used for. It’s easy to add character in a room, or a wall, especially if it’s combined with new things too. It doesn’t have to be old crates, by all means. Many new furniture with storage are influenced by the solutions that can be seen on different blogs, magazines or vice verse.

Nowadays it’s relatively easy to find newly produced chest of drawers, bookshelves & boxes with drawers-on-each-other system. But you don’t need to buy the solution, of course. Use your creative ideas, find a few old crates & do your own thing. High or low, wide or narrow, white or black, splash of colour or minimalistic…there are endless possibilities.
