Dinner time

The best way ever to entertain, I believe, is to get together over a meal, eat, drink & discuss. The meaning of life, human differences, world history or simple everyday pleasures. Talking points are important but more importantly are the group of people that you surround yourself with. Those who makes the difference – who makes you feel comfortable, feel good & warms you … in body & soul … including the dining area!

Cozy, comfortable, nice, pleasing – things that matters, sometimes more than the food you are served. Environments depends on what you prefer or are used to. It’s rarely about impression, in the true sense. It contributes to the atmosphere, of course. I would lie if i said that space or environment wasn’t important. But the point is that it’s more important with the people participating. The personalities that makes the event. From the topics of discussion, to the life they have lived, their attitude to things. A certain smile, a silence that is pleasant or a constant cackling taking place but that is contagious.

Amidst all this, the common dining area is also part of the whole. That which creates wellbeing, together with the aromas & flavors, lit candles plus mood lighting, AND the music. So, to sum it all up – space, enables the place & the individuals makes the event. I hope this makes sense in english 🙂

Appealing walls

What if walls could speak – tell you their story. About colours they have been painted in, patched, scraped, plastered & painted over & over again. Or tell you about those who lived here before to give insight into what life was like, during an epoch. It would be exciting & interesting. But see, that’s not what this post is about today, unfortunately.

I like colour, it’s a big part of my life…professionally, that is. But I’m not the first to raise my hand regarding colorful walls. But still. I have the ability to enjoy a variety of things or events, no matter what I prefer. It’s all about being able to see beauty in most things, right?

If you were to ask me which of these rooms I would consider myself to live in, without changing the wall color – then, the closest in style, would be room number six with light blue wall. Maybe, possibly, even number three. (but I would most certainly go for the black & white one) How about you, which one do you prefer?

Bag ladies

Time to look for a new bag & find THE ONE that fits all my needs – work & casual style – big enough inside but neat on the outside. Or a smaller one that fits in the big one, for different use throughout the day. Here’s some that I like in style, colour & model.

Floral style

I spent a half day in a flower shop the other day. Not so much for the flowers, to be honest but the more for the owner & all her stories about different flowers. There’s all types of individuals, which I always find exciting & interesting to listen to as well as ponder about. People, in general is an interesting phenomenon – imagine all different individuals with different opinions & viewpoints. It turned out that this lady’s view of plants, resembled my way – only that it is people instead.

Every plant behaves different to another. SO when she talked about a certain flower, or plant, I actually saw a person in front of me. This was especially between rose varieties. From the simple & humble to the real divas & everything in between. You could say that we found each other through a common view despite different interests. Life can be that simple at times.

Shoe lust

Shoes in various material & models are exciting, but I’m relatively restrictive with what I use. NEVER high heels unfortunately – even though I’m short & would benefit. For everyday use, I wear sneakers or desert boots. Flat shoes are my melody – sneakers, boots, sandals, party shoes, formal shoes – doesn’t matter what occasion. Very similar to the first image but in leather or suede. It doesn’t matter how well-dressed you are, if the shoes don’t fit, the whole thing then looks drastically wrong. Or feels wrong, which is worse. I were in the city on a course & stayed after, for a stroll before I went home after work. No intentions to buy but to just look around, have a coffee & soak up the urban atmosphere.

I ended up buying two shoes in suede, black & dark blue in different shops. I must probably acknowledge that it was a feat considering all the high-heeled models that existed – everywhere! But shame on those who give up 🙂 Even If I wasn’t looking really. My philosophy is that when you see something you like, just buy it. You can’t regret that you bought something since you have the option to return the item. But if they run out of stock, that is more – well, not nice if you changed your mind.
