Although it’s summer it’s chilly at times so I have a longing for coarse materials, preferably knitted & warming. Warm blankets has been picked out of the closet as well as the knitted socks my in- laws had with them on their last visit. I’m sitting & scrolling through magazines with winter clothing, especially knitwear fashion. Really, winter fashion in the middle of summer ….but it’s one of those days where the rain & cold affects your mood & creates a longing. On the other hand, it’s winter in the other half of the world, seasons arn’t synced. Fashion magazines does not take that into account. Or rather, can not adjust their different themes on that criteria. Thankfully, perhaps one shoul add.
I go through a lot of magazines, blogs, newsletters, social networks, online shopping, shops, etc. regularly. I don’t have an eye on the details but I do get a great broad overview of trends, fluctuations & the general fashion in the areas I’m interested of. It’s not about just clothing but also food, music, home furnishings, travel, books etc. I like to check the street style, it’s very stimulating & exciting because it’s what people want to wear. Right now it’s knitwear because of the weather – knitted tights, bags, shirts, socks, shawls & even jewelry. The funny thing is that one day or days it’s shorts, t-shirts & dresses while other days it’s full outfit that applies.
But for now, it’s about knitted accessories…
