Siblings / 41

Hej from sunny Sydney, It’s a nice day & I am on my way for a coffee with a friend. Posting this on the blog before I leave. I have many friends with small children & although I have my own nice guys, I can long back to the time when they were little. No matter what age they were in, it was the best time … all the time! It was never troublesome or difficult, only pleasure. It’s clear that there was some concern when they became sick or had a pain when their teeth grew out, etc. But it was never a hassle. Easy to handle, travel with, dine with, visit friends or places or what ever. Wonderful time & equally wonderful time with them now. Fortunately, they work great as siblings also.

I myself have several siblings whom I am very happy & grateful for. You grew up together & in time you find your part where you fit perfectly in the whole with the others in the family. Today, you rarely have to share a room, as if it would be something bad or sad. I thought that time was something tremendously exciting. Rooms can look so different & meet different needs, there’s endless possibilities. It all depends on what you want to achieve, of course. Here are some examples that I hope will inspire you.

Sofa during the day & beds during the night, not so bad solution / Skona hem,

One big room for siblings to share, great space on the floor, stable ladders with wide steps. Cozy & nice with textiles / Home & garden,

Bright colors work well when leaving some surfaces clean or just white – for the eyes to rest / IKEA,

Another style that is a little cuter & works well for both boys & girls / Bolig magasinet,Nice to create a space for home work or do drawings, paint, write – that looks professional & not too childish / IKEA,  Another cute style – more like in the fairy tale world / Home & Garden,A modern, updated, fresh & neat environment to socialise, play & have fun / Bloesem,

Built-in, almost as a separate hut. Easy to clean up the room & just throw things in the storage drawers under the beds / Skona hem,

Very nice hang out place for siblings - open & bright with the big window & white walls. Nice idea with the bar against the wall where you can hang things / Elle,

Exciting & imaginative – fun way to utilize ceiling height & create character in your room / Small rooms,

Another way to create personality & put your own stamp on the room. Different rooms in one big room, with different functions & needs / IKEA

Take care / Marie
